Police say Butler County man's death suspicious

BUTLER COUNTY — State police believe foul play was involved after the owner of a Butler County auto repair shop was found dead inside the business, the man's girlfriend said Saturday.

An acquaintance found the body of Robert C. Gaurrich, owner of Bob's Truck and Auto Repair, along Evans City Road in Forward, around 11:20 p.m. Friday and called state police.

Police have offered little information about the incident, other than to say they were treating the death as suspicious.

Investigators remained at the repair shop well into Saturday afternoon, more than 12 hours after Gaurrich's body was found.

Gaurrich's girlfriend of two years, Jessica Hoover, said police would only tell her that they suspected foul play was involved.

"He was wonderful," Hoover said. "He took the shirt off his back for anyone. He'd do anything for you."

Other family members declined comment Saturday.
