Police 'like' wanted Pa. suspect's Facebook post

FREELAND, Pa. (AP) — Police in one northeastern Pennsylvania town really "liked" this Facebook post.

The (Wilkes-Barre) Times Leader reported Freeland police arrested 35-year-old Anthony Lescowitch less than two hours after he "shared" a police wanted photo of himself -- and taunted police for not being able to find him -- on his Facebook page.

Police said Lescowitch shared their wanted bulletin minutes after the department posted it on its Facebook page, about 9:20 p.m. Monday.

After Lescowitch shared the bulletin -- which said he was wanted on assault charges -- an officer messaged the suspect pretending to be an attractive woman. Although Lecowitch refused the "woman's" offer of a drink, he eventually agreed to meet for a cigarette, and was arrested at an agreed-upon location.

Lescowitch remained in the Luzerne County Jail Tuesday.
