Saturday’s Powerball jackpot was the largest one of the year so far... and no one won the $856 million prize!
No tickets matched all six numbers drawn: 5-9-35-54-63, and the Powerball 7. There was a 3x Power Play multiplier.
While no one hit the jackpot, some massive prizes were won. A ticket in Texas matched five numbers and the Powerball, winning $2 million. Four other tickets sold across the country matched five numbers, winning $1 million each.
The largest prize won in Pennsylvania was $50,000, per the Pennsylvania Lottery. Two tickets matched four numbers and the Powerball, so they each won $50,000.
Currently, Monday’s drawing is estimated at $905 million, with a cash value of $391.9 million.
The largest jackpot in Powerball history is $2.04 billion, won by a single ticket in California on Nov. 7, 2022.
According to Powerball officials, the overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 24.9. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million
Powerball tickets cost $2 per play and are sold in 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
