Person rescued from vehicle flipped onto roof in Glenfield park-and-ride lot

GLENFIELD, Pa. — A person was pulled from a vehicle that had flipped over onto its roof during a crash in Allegheny County.

The Emsworth VFC says the single-vehicle crash happened around 9:20 a.m. at the Glenfield Park and Ride, on Kilbuck Street near Ohio River Boulevard.

First responders arrived at the scene to find an SUV on its roof, with one person trapped inside.

Emergency crews stabilized the vehicle, removed the passenger side and took out the steering wheel to free the trapped person.

The condition of the person in the vehicle wasn’t immediately known.
