Police said Lucci is believed to have stolen a vehicle about a block away from the hospital.
Officers said they suspect that she walked into a home and stole the car keys and a wallet off the counter.
Police were searching for Lucci from the West End of Washington, where she has family, to Steubenville, Ohio, where her father lives.
“We were notified by the sheriff’s office, they had asked us to assist in trying to locate her. We went to her known addresses, but didn’t have any luck,” said Canonsburg police Chief Al Coghill.
Eventually she was tracked down in the Steubenville area, and Lucci was involved in a high-speed chase with police. She then abandoned the car and ran into the woods.

“We do know she is a known heroin addict and has a bad problem. She probably was going through withdrawal when she left the hospital,” Coghill said.
Lucci, 24, is now charged as a fugitive from justice, as well as facing charges for receiving stolen property.
There will be a hearing at 10 a.m. Friday in Steubenville. She’ll eventually be extradited back to Washington to face more charges.
