Residents take action after string of Castle Shannon burglaries

CASTLE SHANNON, Pa. — Castle Shannon residents said they're taking no chances after at least four reported burglaries in their area.

Amy Russman said her home was burglarized 10 days ago when someone used a table to get into her house through a window.

Since then, Russman has installed deadbolt locks and outside lights. Police said residents should be extra cautious and lock all doors and windows.

"Please lock your doors and windows and call 911 to report anything suspicious, suspicious people, activity, vehicles," said Castle Shannon Police Chief Ken Truver.
