A joint project between Shell and Equinor will compete as Pennsylvania’s entry into a competition for a share of $8 billion in federal funding to develop a next-generation hydrogen hub in Appalachia.
The DNA H2Hub project involves the production of hydrogen for the large-scale use in industry, leveraging Equinor and Shell’s expertise in energy and manufacturing and centered in Pennsylvania and Ohio. It would focus on providing an environmentally friendly source of energy for steel and other industries.
