PITTSBURGH — The growing number of apartment dwellers at SouthSide Works will soon have a new breakfast spot to go to in the morning within the master plan development.
SomeraRoad Inc., the owner of the SouthSide Works, announced that it has deals in place for The Speckled Egg and Commonplace Coffee, the latest in an ongoing approach to prioritize local businesses at the complex.
The two local operators — Speckled Egg currently operating out of the Union Trust Building downtown; Commonplace Coffee, with five shops around town — will jointly take over the former location of Bd’s Mongolian Grill, a restaurant that had closed some time before the start of the pandemic.
