VANDERGRIFT, Pa. — SWAT units were called to a scene in Vandergrift on Friday involving a homicide suspect who is wanted in Allegheny County.

According to Westmoreland County 911, just before 5 p.m., Vandergrift police began chasing the suspect on foot on Grant Avenue.

As many as seven streets were blocked off by police as officers tried to make an arrest.
The suspect, who has not been identified yet, was taken into custody shortly after 7 p.m.
