PITTSBURGH — Thousands walked to generate awareness and raise funds for multiple sclerosis Sunday at Point State Park.
Nearly 4,000 people took part in the 2015 Walk MS: Pittsburgh, funds from which support national MS research and services for the more than 14,000 people living with the disease across Pennsylvania.

Samantha Carter, of Clinton, Pennsylvania, was recently diagnosed with MS. She took part in Sunday's walk, held by the Pennsylvania Keystone Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
"It's amazing, it really is. It's an amazing foundation and they do amazing things," she said.
The walk consisted of 1-mile and 5K routes around downtown Pittsburgh.
