Upper St. Clair teacher accused of damaging cars while drunk on Pittsburgh’s North Shore

PITTSBURGH — An Upper St. Clair School District faculty member is accused of damaging cars while drunk on Pittsburgh’s North Shore.

As of Wednesday, Ronald Sivillo, 60, was listed as a social studies teacher at Upper St. Clair High School.

Court records obtained by Channel 11 show police were sent to a bar on North Shore Drive just after midnight Friday after two people claimed their vehicles had been damaged.

One of the vehicles had its driver’s side mirror removed. The other had two missing mirrors, a broken rear window, a bent license plate and a partially ripped-out center console.

One of the victims pointed to Sivillo, who police say was walking nearby without any shoes on.

Sivillo reportedly admitted to drinking five IPAs and trying to break into the second vehicle, thinking it was his.

Inside that vehicle’s trunk, the owner found clothes and a bag that Sivillo said were his.

Police estimated the total damage to both vehicles was $4,215.

Sivillo was arrested and taken to the Allegheny County Jail because police feared he might damage more vehicles if released on scene.

Court dockets show Sivillo is charged with criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 15.
