Johnson and another man were both shot; the other victim is in critical condition.

Right now, there is no indication that any of the homicides are connected.

Pittsburgh Police Chief Jason Lando released a statement about the crimes, saying:

“No amount of violence is acceptable in our city, and our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and everyone impacted by the three homicides that occurred over the past 24 hours. Early this morning, I was briefed on each of these tragic incidents and learned that none appear to be random acts of violence, but rather isolated incidents that present no further threat to the community. Nonetheless, the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police takes all violent crimes seriously. Our detectives are working around the clock to investigate each case, identify those responsible, and bring them to justice. These investigations remain active, and we will provide additional information as it becomes available and appropriate for release.”
