The Washington Area Humane Society said Friday that its kennels are at maximum capacity.
It follows an influx of rescues, most recently a duffel bag of puppies found on the side of a road, according to a social media post from the humane society.
Officials are asking community members for help freeing up space. To ease the overcrowding, all adoptions are half-off through November.
People are also asked to consider fostering specialty medical cases, young animals and those in “hospice.”
