Drilling equipment incident sends 1 to hospital with burns

MT. PLEASANT TOWNSHIP, Pa. — What was originally believed to be an oil rig on fire was well-drilling equipment that malfunctioned and burned a worker.

According to homeowners along Freeman Falls Road in Mt. Pleasant Township, they were drilling a well on their property when something sparked. One worker was burned and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
