BUFFALO TOWNSHIP, Pa. — The bomb squad was able to safely detonate a live pipe bomb Monday afternoon in Washington County.
Authorities said the bomb was found in the area of Rural Valley Road in Buffalo Township at 1 p.m. Monday.
Charles Nicholson, 53, who was working as a gas well driller, noticed the device and alerted authorities. The bomb squad was able to detonate the device without any injuries.
Officials have not said where the bomb came from or released any other details about the incident.
