ROBINSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A restaurant in Robinson Township was robbed early Friday by a masked man with a gun, Channel 11's Lori Houy reported.
Police were called shortly before 5 a.m. to the IHOP on Sutherland Drive.
No customers were inside the restaurant at the time of the robbery, but two employees were working.
Police said the robber went into the back and demanded money.
"A male wearing a heavy jacket and ski mask and gloves went into the restaurant, into the back room and held up an employee," Robinson Township police Chief Dale Vietmeier said.
The robber demanded that the employee open the safe, according to police. The employee did not have access to the safe, and the robber got away with a small amount of cash.
"With a firearm in her face, that was threatening enough," Vietmeier said.
Investigators searched the immediate area for the suspect, but no arrests were made. No one was hurt.
