Mt. Washington residents are on both sides of the fence about a dog park.
The Olympia Park in question has a fence, but there are no gates or water sources.
Channel 11 learned on Thursday that work stopped on the park because people complained about the size and locations.
"We didn't really need it, and now we have this big ugly black steel cage, and it's an eyesore," said neighbor Ray Crosgrove.
"It's nice they finally did something for dog owners in Pittsburgh. There was no place to let your dog off the leash, and now we have it," said neighbor Matt Orman.
A public hearing will be held soon to get more comments on the situation.
A city official told Channel 11 that dog parks are like ball fields and can be placed in any park at commission's discretion without public input or votes, but before this park is complete, officials want to find a solution for both sides.
