PITTSBURGH,None — Channel 11 News' exchange partners at TribLIVE said the residents' love for coupons has helped boost sales.
The Trib is now offering a promotion at 25 Giant Eagle and Walmart stores in Allegheny and Westmoreland counties, offering customers two Sunday newspapers for the price of one.
That means customers will get two sets of Smart Source inserts filled with grocery coupons.
Since the program started, Tribune-Review officials said sales of the Sunday edition have drastically increased.
Participating stores said they're seeing people redeem the coupons right away.
Sunday newspapers often go on sale as early as Saturday.
