NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Police have arrested 14 people, including two “high level” cocaine and marijuana dealers, during a weeks-long drug investigation.
According to a statement released by the Armstrong County Narcotics Enforcement Team, Dustin Riehl, 24, and Nathan Whitehead, 22, had been conducting drug operations between Armstrong and Clarion counties for several weeks.
The men were found to be in possession of several bags of cocaine, a large amount of marijuana and several "high-powered" weapons, authorities said.
Authorities said Riehl was taken into custody April 5 after investigators conducted an arranged drug buy. He was found in possession of several hundred dollars along with the funds a confidential informant used to buy drugs.
He was placed in Armstrong County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond on charges of possession of drugs, possession with intent to deliver drugs, possession/use of drug paraphernalia, criminal conspiracy and criminal use of a communication facility.
Whitehead and the other 12 people who were not named were apprehended Friday on similar charges, police said. Whitehead was remanded to Armstrong County Jail by District Judge Samuel Goldstrohm in lieu of $150,000 bond.
Twelve other people also were apprehended on Friday throughout Armstrong and Clarion counties and charged by the Clarion County Narcotics Unit.
