CONNOQUENESSING TOWNSHIP, Pa.,None — A ride operator at the Butler Farm Show is facing charges after police said he was drinking on the job.
Todd Boyer, 47, was charged by state police on Tuesday. He's employed by J&J Amusement and operates the "Ring of Fire" ride for the farm show.
Troopers said they were called to the show in Connoquenessing Township after a mother and her daughter said they saw Boyer urinating under one of the rides.
"We were alerted immediately, and within seconds, he was taken into custody," said Jim Lokhaiser, the farm show secretary. "We don't tolerate this kind of thing. It's a family show."
Police said Boyer was drunk at the time. He has been charged with reckless endangerment.
"This is great to come out here with the kids. I won't let one incident change it," said farm-goer Rick Buccelli.
After the incident, J&J Amusement told Channel 11 News that Boyer is no longer an employee with the company.
Channel 11 News pulled Boyer's record and found he has active warrants out for his arrest, along with an 11-page rap sheet for DUI-related charges.
