South Side music store set to close later this spring

PITTSBURGH — This will be the last full week a staple of Pittsburgh’s music scene and flavor of the South Side will be fully open. Dave’s Music Mine is set to close this spring.

After more than 20 years, the manager of the store said the shop will not be renewing its lease when it is up in May.

The store has been around since the late ’90s, selling vinyl, CDs, DVDs, VHS, cassettes and event tickets. The store’s manager said they still sell a fair number of records, but are not seeing as many customers coming through the door.

Dave’s Music Mine will be open on weekends through the end of its lease.
