The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Friday that rookie cornerback Senquez Golson is out indefinitely after undergoing shoulder surgery.
Steelers coach Mike Tomlin did not say if the second-round pick would be out for the year.

As NBC Sports ProFootballTalk reports, the surgery is not an unexpected development because Golson was placed on the PUP list earlier this month.
With Golson’s surgery, Cortez Allen, William Gay and Brandon Boykin figure to play a lot for the Steelers at corner.
