16 student athletes, 2 athletic staff members at RMU test positive for COVID-19

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Safety protocols are in place at Robert Morris University after 16 student-athletes and two staff members tested positive for COVID-19 since Friday.

Those who tested positive are recovering in the university’s isolation housing, are recovering at their homes or have moved to quarantine housing.

Contact tracing is being done to notify anyone who had close contact with someone who tested positive.

Spaces where infected students have been are being cleaned and disinfected.

Men’s and women’s ice hockey, track and field and volleyball are now on hold.
