2 women transported to hospital after car crashes into pole in Pittsburgh

HOMEWOOD, Pa. — Pittsburgh Police, Fire, and EMS rushed to North Lang Avenue and Upland Street for a single vehicle collision just after 8:15 p.m.

When they got to the crash, the vehicle had caught fire after it sheared a telephone pole and then struck the front of a house.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire.

Medics transported two women to the hospital in stable condition with minor injuries.

One suffered a leg injury, the other had a cut to the head.

Police are investigating the crash.
