WESTMORELAND COUNTY, Pa. — Five schools in the Norwin School District will be closing for several days after five new cases of COVID-19 were reported across the district.
The new cases are in addition to two previous cases that were announced on Oct. 1, according to a letter from the superintendent.

The district will close Norwin High School, Norwin Middle School, Hillcrest Intermediate School, Hahntown Elementary School and Sunset Valley Elementary School starting Oct. 8.
Students are expected to return to the buildings on Oct. 13.
