GREENSBURG, Pa. — One person was killed in a motorcycle crash on Route 30 Friday night.
Pennsylvania State Police said Allen D. Wallace Jr., 44. of Greensburg, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Westmoreland County coroner.
The incident occurred on Route 30 shortly after 9 p.m. Police said Wallace was driving west on on a 2010 Yamaha motorcycle at a high rate of speed. He collided with a 2020 Kia Sportage which was heading the same direction.
Wallace was thrown from the motorcycle and hit a guardrail, police said.
No injuries were reported to those in the other vehicle.
Two additional motorcycle riders who were riding with Wallace were taken into custody for DUI, police said.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
