BRIDGEVILLE, Pa. — People living in Bridgeville and part of Collier Township took to social media with concerns after they reported hearing an explosion. Some said their homes shook and others reported seeing smoke.
The CEO of Universal Stainless said a crane at their Collier Township business failed and spilled hot liquid metal. One worker suffered minor burns.
The incident was caught on a nearby Ring doorbell camera.
Officials said the plant will be closed for several days to make repairs and clean up the mess.
