Crews battle house fire in North Huntingdon, smoke visible nearly 30 miles away

NORTH HUNTINGDON, Pa. — Fire crews battled flames at a home in North Huntingdon Monday evening.

Chopper 11 was over a separate fire in Moon Township when our crew saw the smoke plume from the scene on Veronica Lane in North Huntingdon. As the crow flies, it’s a distance of nearly 30 miles.

Flames were visible as Chopper 11 arrived in North Huntingdon.

It’s not clear what sparked the fire.
