HARRISBURG, Pa. — Mark your calendars and don’t forget to set the hook!
The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission announced July 4 will be a Fish-for-Free Day statewide.
Mark Your Calendars: Fish-for-Free Days allow anyone (resident or non-resident) to legally fish on PA waterways on the designated days with NO FISHING LICENSE REQUIRED (Trout/Salmon and Lake Erie permits are also NOT required). All other fishing regulations still apply. pic.twitter.com/Gbd93SfryI

Anyone (both residents and nonresidents) can legally fish on the state’s rivers, streams, creeks, ponds and lakes with no fishing licenses required. Additionally, trout, salmon and Lake Erie permits are also not required.
