A former Gateway High School teacher awaiting trial for driving under the influence in an on-campus wreck in January has been charged with drunk driving again.
Michael Mastorovich, 55, of Plum was charged with DUI and public drunkenness by Monroeville police after an incident June 4, according to our partners at the Pittsburgh Tribune Review.
Police tried to stop Mastorovich’s car after a caller claimed he fell into the bushes outside the Verizon store on William Penn Highway, then drove away.

According to the Trib, Mastorovich drove for a half mile before stopping in a parking lot.
Police said Mastorovich slurred his words and smelled heavily of alcohol. The Trib reports Mastorovich refused a blood/alcohol test.
Mastorovich is charged with crashing his car on the campus of Gateway High School on January 24. The social studies and special education teacher resigned shortly afterwards. He taught there for eight years.
Mastorovich is expected in court on these new charges August 21.
