PITTSBURGH — Allegheny County health inspectors returned to a Pittsburgh grocery store where there was a roach infestation earlier in January.
A consumer alert was issued by the Allegheny County Health Department for Desi Market on Brownsville Road in the city’s Carrick neighborhood.
Officials said roaches were found under cutting boards, butcher blocks and inside meat display coolers.

A follow-up inspection was done Friday, and roach fragments and body parts were found under bins of fresh produce, officials said.
The market told inspectors they have pest control spraying twice a month.
The market is allowed to stay open, but there will be another inspection on Feb. 24.
