Here’s how much top Highmark Health, AHN execs made in 2019

PITTSBURGH — Highmark Health President and CEO David Holmberg’s total compensation rose to $8.1 million in 2019 due to a slight increase in bonus and incentives as well as other compensation and nontaxable benefits, according to an annual tax filing released Friday afternoon by the Pittsburgh-based health giant.

That compared to a total of $7.5 million for 2018.

Holmberg, who has been president and CEO since 2014, had just about the same amount of base salary as the prior year, with $1.38 million in 2019 compared to $1.4 million in 2018. His bonus and incentives were $6 million, compared to $5.5 million the year before. There was about a $100,000 increase in other reportable compensation to $677,276 in 2019 as well as a slight increase in nontaxable benefits, according to Highmark Health’s Form 990.
