Westmoreland County Common Pleas Court Judge Scott Mears rejected the second request for bail from Vazquez. He’s been behind bars in the county jail for almost a year after he was arrested for sexual assault and pornography. Investigators accused him of having sex with a 13-year-old girl in 2017 and sending her pornographic images of himself.

Vazquez’s defense attorney, Gary Gerson, sought to move his client into a Westmoreland County apartment that would have private security to ensure he remains in town.

Vazquez has maintained his innocence throughout his incarceration.
