NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. — UPDATE: In the courtoom Tuesday morning, a Nassau County judge determined that Kimberly Kessler, who is originally from Butler County, is incompetent to stand trial.
ORIGINAL STORY: Channel 11 News' sister station, Action News Jax, will be in the courtroom Tuesday to learn if Kimberly Kessler, the only suspect in a Nassau County mother's murder will stand trial.
Kessler, who was Cummings' coworker at a hair salon, is charged with murder.
The mother, Joleen Cummings disappeared Mother's Day weekend in 2018.
It has been nearly three weeks since a judge ordered a competency exam for her accused killer.
Cummings' mother, Anne Johnson, told us she is frustrated with the delays. Her and her grandchildren have been waiting for answers for over a year.
Action News Jax reported in May that doctors claimed Kessler was incompetent to stand trial.
State attorneys in Nassau County challenged that -- asking to have another doctor examine Kessler.
