Man accused of killing Baldwin man now charged with second murder

A Fox Chapel man accused of killing another man with whom he had been communicating through a dating app has now been charged with the murder of a missing man.

Adam Rosenberg, 21, has been charged with criminal homicide, robbery, abuse of corpse, tampering with evidence, and firearms violations in connection with the death of 22-year-old Christian Moore-Rouse.

Moore-Rouse was last seen alive on Saturday, December 21, 2019, according to police.

The remains of Moore-Rouse were found in a wooded area behind a home on public property along Settler’s Ridge Road in Fox Chapel, according to investigators. Police said there was evidence of a shooting found at the scene.

Rosenberg lived in the home near where the remains were found.

In February, Rosenberg allegedly shot and killed 28-year-old Jeremy Dentel at his home in Baldwin.

According to a criminal complaint, the men had been messaging each other in the days and minutes before the shooting. Rosenberg asked the victim if he lived alone then repeatedly asked to meet up until Dentel agreed to have him over.

Surveillance video from a neighbor’s home shows a man putting on gloves before entering Dentel’s home around 6 p.m. Less than a minute later, the video shows the same man leaving the home, getting into a car and speeding off, the complaint said.

Ammunition found in Rosenberg’s bedroom matched the ammunition recovered in Dentel’s home, police said.

He was charged with criminal homicide, robbery, tampering with evidence and firearms violations in connection with Dentel’s death.

Rosenberg was arrested on Feb. 19 and has been in the Allegheny Jail since then.
