Man dead after being shot in head in Pittsburgh’s Sheraden neighborhood

PITTSBURGH — A man died at a hospital after being shot in the head Friday afternoon in Pittsburgh’s Sheraden neighborhood.

Investigators said they responded to a Shotspotter alert for the 700 block of Stafford Street around 1:30 p.m. When officers arrived, they found 18-year-old Kenneth Hairston.

Medics transported him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

There were no injuries at the scene. Police said they are still investigating.
