Man found shot in crashed car in Duquesne

DUQUESNE, Pa. — Neighbors said chaos erupted in Duquesne Monday night after a shooting and crash along Grant Street.

Allegheny County police said a man was shot inside a crashed vehicle around 10 p.m. and was rushed to a hospital in critical condition.

A woman who didn’t want to be identified said she was outside a store just a few blocks away when she heard the gunfire.

“It sounded like there were five gunshots I think, and then somebody crashed and some people went running and they closed down the store and then the police showed up,” said the woman.

The woman lives up the street from where the shooting happened and said it was concerning and scary.

Several blocks were shut down and roped off as police gathered evidence.

“There was an ambulance, a few police cars and a fire truck. They had like three blocks shut down,” said the woman.

Right now, homicide detectives are investigating and are looking for the shooter.
