New grocery store opens in Bloomfield

PITTSBURGH — People in Bloomfield got a new place to shop and work on Sunday.

The new Community Supermarket along Liberty Avenue opened at 9 a.m.. It’s at the former ShurSave location that closed in July.

Giant Eagle is operating the new store.

It’s just like the other locations in Penn Hills and Natrona Heights.

The market has more than 50 employees and will be open every day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
