PITTSBURGH — Finding a parking spot in Oakland can be especially frustrating. New spots designated with signs reading “Short Term Loading for Pickup and Delivery - 15 minute time limit” are helping to fix that.
“Now it’s great. Like you said, you park for free real quick, you go in, you go out. It makes it easier,” Ashley Greene said. “There’s not a lot of traffic or people stopping in the middle of the street, which used to be a problem to like run in and run out.”
The temporary parking zones are centrally located by restaurants, retail stores and coffee shops on:
- Forbes Avenue
- Oakland Avenue
- Atwood Street
- South Bouquet Street
- Meyran Avenue
“I think it’s pretty awesome,” Greene said.
Parking in the spots is free.
