New restaurant location planning to open amid pandemic

PITTSBURGH — Jennifer Butler, the co-owner of Ocean Treasures, knows it’s risky to open a business during these unprecedented times, but she said she is willing to try.

“We felt like it would be a failure to the community to not continue to push forward,” Butler said.

We will be holding open interviews on Friday July 17th from 1PM until 4PM stop up and sea us. We are hiring for all positions including assistant managers. We look forward to meeting you!!!!

The new seafood restaurant in Ross Township was supposed to open June 1, but the COVID-19 restrictions delayed things. Shortly after new orders were put in place allowing 25% capacity dine-in service, the owners held open interviews for bartenders and servers.

“I’m excited to get back to working. I don’t like being without a job,” said Dakota Hughley, who was just hired Friday.

The Ross Township location plans to open by the end of July.
