HARRISBURG, Pa. — More help is on the way for people still struggling because of the pandemic.

Pennsylvania is extending its unemployment benefits.

The 13-week extension is for people who exhausted their regular and federal pandemic emergency compensation.

The extended benefits program is triggered when the state’s unemployment rate reaches a certain level.

The program hasn’t been used since 2009.
