The event “is designed to build, nurture, and maintain relationships between the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police and residents throughout the city of Pittsburgh,” said Sonya Toler, city public safety spokeswoman, in a release.

The event featured police officers from all six neighborhood stations who teamed up with members of their respective communities and competed in field-day style challenges, the release said.

The six teams competed for the USSIE Summer Games Traveling Trophy and bragging rights.

The competitive games included three leg races, dodgeball, water balloon toss and tug of war.

Attendees also enjoyed face painting, music, food and various vendors.
