Police issue warning about fake $20 bills being passed in Burgettstown

BURGETTSTOWN, Pa. — Police in McDonald are warning businesses owners about fake $20 bills that have been passed in the Burgettstown area.

The department posted about it on its Facebook page.

At first glance, the money might look real, but if you look close, you can see it is marked “motion picture use only.”

Packs of the fake money can be purchased on Amazon, and is advertised as “play” or “prop” money.

It’s not illegal to buy it, but it is to use it as real money.
