For the third day, Sandcastle Water Park remained closed Wednesday due to flooding.
Saturday night's flooding didn't crest until Sunday morning, leaving the lower level of the park -- where the majority of pools are -- underwater.

"This is definitely one of the worst floods we've experienced since Sandcastle has been here," general manager Damion Dondero said.
Park management said they're doing everything they can to get the park open as quickly as possible.

"We're working extremely hard to get the mud removed and put back into the (Monongahela) River," Dondero said.
While it's not unusual for Sandcastle to experience flooding, it typically happens when there's a combination of snow melting and spring rain. Flooding in the middle of summer hasn't happened in 21 years.
There is no specific date of reopening, and park officials said its a day-by-day effort. Stay with Channel 11 News and WPXI.com for continuing coverage.
