Some popular area entertainment spots still require masks, others don’t

PITTSBURGH — While there is plenty of excitement about mask restrictions being eased, many families told Channel 11 they still plan on wearing masks.

“I am excited about taking my kids to Kennywood. We really didn’t get to do much last year,” Shandrea Mitchell said.

“Going to Dave and Buster’s with my daughter to enjoy the day,” Precious McGinnis said.

“I still feel that I’m going to wear a mask whether I got to Kennywood or anywhere,” Joyce Rossey said.

Kennywood revised their mask policy less than 24 hours after the CDC and state announcements. Dave & Buster’s is still going to require patrons have a mask for the time being. Hershey Park officials said you won’t need a mask if you’re fully vaccinated. Idlewild & Soak Zone will decide on a policy before the park opens for the season. It’s not clear yet whether Sandcastle’s mask policy will reflect the CDC’s guidelines or not.
