FREDERICKTOWN, Pa. — Recent weather has highlighted some structural problems with buildings in a Washington County school district.
According to a letter sent to parents in the Bethlehem-Center School District, heavy rain caused the roof of the middle school to leak.
Wednesday will be designated as an Act 80 day, meaning that faculty and staff will report to school, but students will stay home, according to the letter.
The superintendent said there is a special meeting on Thursday for the board to approve renovations. The meeting was already planned but they'll have a lot more to discuss now.
