“Today, we are just finishing sanitizing, all of the toys furniture and everything in the business,” Rupert said.
Rupert’s waiver allows her to reopen to provide care for children of essential employees, who have to work, like doctors, nurses and first responders.
She planned to waive any registration fees for new clients and they won’t have to sign a long-term contract. She’s already received a call from a hospital asking about child care.
“The doctors, nurses and essential employees cannot go to work, if they have children at home. so we need to be here for families and children,” Rupert said.
As a precaution, Rupert said children will have their temperatures taken as they arrive. If they’re sick, they’ll be sent home. She said new toys will be rotated in during the day and also making sure kids sanitize and wash their hands throughout the day.
The day care will reopen on Tuesday morning with all of the extra precautions in place.
