Winning $1 million lottery ticket sold at local shop

In exchange for $3,000, an officer offered a parolee “no polygraph, no ankle bracelet, no supervision fee.” Community Supervision Officer Tyrique Williams presented the parolee a handwritten note with the offer at the parolee’s home. 

GREENVILLE, Pa. — The holidays just got a lot merrier for someone in Westmoreland County.

Someone won more than $1 million in the Diamond Mine game.

The winning ticket was sold at a store on Sara Way in Belle Vernon on Thursday, Nov. 28.  The retailer gets a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The Diamond Mine is a $20 Fast Play game with 15 progressive top prizes starting at $200,000.
