MIRA, ITALY — At least one person was killed when a tornado swept through an area near Venice Wednesday evening.
According to local media, the victim was driving a vehicle which was lifted into the air by the tornado and then slammed to the ground.

Around 30 people were also injured by the tornado, with three reported to be in grave condition.
Some local residents were able to catch all the action on video the moment the tornado struck.
The storm damaged several homes and other buildings, forcing many people to find a different place to stay.
Local media reported that authorities would continue assessing the damage Thursday.
