Divers found the head and legs of Swedish journalist Kim Wall, who died under mysterious circumstances on an inventor’s homemade submarine, Danish police said Saturday.
Peter Madsen has been charged with killing Wall, who disappeared after she accompanied the inventor on his submarine on Aug. 10, Reuters reported. Madsen was arrested after he was rescued after his submarine sank.
Police identified a headless female torso that washed ashore in Copenhagen as Wall’s; a cause of death has not been determined, Reuters reported.
Madsen said Wall died in an accident when she was hit by a heavy hatch cover on his submarine. Saturday, a police spokesman said there were no fractures to Wall’s skull.
